| Q: | When would I want to use the HP-TMA? |
| A: | The HP-TMA is designed specifically for use in mobile and/or rugged applications where distance between nodes, irregular elevations, and environmental factors are in constant flux. It delivers long distance Wi-Fi coverage and a more forgiving signal than traditional high gain antennas. It also provides a low profile and highly durable design. The HP-TMA is ideal for mounting on vehicles, ships, trains or any application where reliable, long distance communication with client devices and/or other network nodes is essential. For details about HP-TMA usage, see the case study Selecting the Optimal Antenna for a Mobile Mesh Network. |

| Q: | Does the HP-TMA require special certification? |
| A: |
The high powered signal booster capability does require that the HP-TMA be certified with specific radio devices prior to implementation in non-military applications. For information about certification, contact

| Q: | What is a Circular Polarized antenna and what are the advantages? |
| A: |
Simply put, a Circular Polarized (CP) antenna broadcasts the signal in a circular pattern, as opposed to the traditional linear pattern of other Wi-Fi antennas. Whereas linear antennas broadcast in a single plane (either vertical or horizontal), a CP antenna broadcasts in ALL planes, providing significant advantages including a more stable connection with mobile client devices, superior penetration of obstacles, and the ability to maintain higher overall data rates. For more information about CP technology, see the tech note Introduction to Circular Polarization. |
