The Tolly Group has requested that Luxul remove our interpretation of their wireless AP reports. While it appears our content simply didn’t meet their customer’s agenda, in an effort to be good citizens, we have complied with their request. However, we still encourage you to download reports #215100 and #215101 from the Tolly website and read them in full.
As you review the data, be sure to pay close attention to “Downstream” and “Upstream” data rates of all four APs and remember that wireless network users rely mostly on “Downstream” data rates. After all, when was the last time you uploaded Netflix®? Also, remember that Netflix recommends a download speed of 3Mb/second for SD quality streaming and VUDU® recommends 4.5Mb/s for 1080p HDX2.
Netflix, Internet Connection Speed Requirements
VUDU, Streaming Requirements
Consider those requirements—then take a look at the data on pages 3 and 4 of the Tolly reports—and it’s easy to see which APs will consistently deliver the optimal customer experience with superior streaming data rates (by as much as 20x), along with the most balanced “upstream/downstream” performance.
